KMFDM's new album WWIII is one of their more aggressive albums. Unlike most their albums it has a tighter sound and is overall an easier listen to the uninitiated. The opening is great a banjo solo that erupts into a sample heavy industrial punk grove. Blackball and Jihad are dark brooding songs. From Here On Out and Last Things are pretty standard KMFDM, industrial rock with trading on vocals. Pity for the Pious is my least favorite song on the CD. Raymond's vocals are hard for me to get into on this track and the song reminds me of molasses. Stars & Stripes is a warning and a call to arms with great energy, for liberty is under attack in the US. Bullets, Bombs & Bigotry is an energetic song that is a little repetitive. Moron has a great grove in which they use to attack W. Revenge is a song that is much more in the style of Raymond's band, Pig. It makes no surprise, since Pig was basically absorbed by KMFDM. In a change to the humorous, the last track is the intro, which introduces the band with a some humor and a great beat. Overall it is a strong album and one of their most overt politically charged albums.
